This next game is a bit of a twist, as Kingmakers doesn’t solely put you in medieval times. Instead, it has you jumping back and forth between the past and the far future to try and stop the end of the world! So, yeah, no pressure there!
You are part of a society 500 years in the future where everything is about to end. The only chance to change things is by going back into the medieval era and attempt to change things for the better.
The good news is that you’ll have futuristic weaponry to help you on your journey. So load up, and hope that everything you do is enough.

The latest entry in the beloved Bioware series has a lot of pressure on it, but you might be thinking of that as you attempt to save the day from a couple of gods. You’ll play Rook, a new hero in the land of Thedas who is charged with helping a group stop these gods from terrorizing the world.
Your companions will be numerous, but they are all unique, and they each have a story to tell. Plus, you’ll be able to romance them as you please, so pick the one you feel is best for you!
Dragon Age: The Veilguard takes things into the Action RPG setting, but it might be a breath of fresh air that fans will enjoy.
#14 Enotria: The Last Song

At first, Enotria: The Last Song doesn’t seem to be a true medieval title. However, it’s set within a place inspired by Italy, which was a huge part of that medieval age, so we’re going to let it slide.
When you arrive in this world, everything is still. As in, nothing is moving because of the stasis it’s in. You are the “Maskless One,” and you must travel through the world, defeat foes to get their masks, and then use them to elevate yourself to do more.
But what exactly happened to this world? Why are the “Authors” trying to keep it as it is? You’ll have to play to find out and save the world!

Are you into VR adventures? If so, then you might want to check out Legendary Tales. The game aims to put you in the “ultimate fantasy experience” within the VR space by having you travel and fight across a magical world.
Further proving just how immersive the game is, you’ll have the chance to shape your character how you see fit. So, if you want them to act one way or another as you battle enemies, you can tailor the skill tree to suit your needs!

When it comes to medieval action titles, they often try to recreate the “feeling” of being a medieval knight, but they don’t always succeed.
In the case of Kinstrife, they’re making a serious attempt to make things feel as they should. By that, we refer to how this is a nonlinear RPG and a world in which you can have fun. You’ll start off as a low-ranking squire and then go to battle to try and obtain victory, glory, and power.
Battles are truly hard-hitting, and if you’re not careful, you’ll be knocked flat! Survive these encounters, and you’ll slowly build yourself into a mighty lord of the land!
#11 Project: The Perceiver

Get ready for a Chinese open-world action game set in a medieval period. We’re still looking for more information to be unveiled about this game. But those of you who enjoyed Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice may find this game interesting. Players will use their sword skills to successfully block enemy attacks while perfectly timing out devastating blows of their own. Meanwhile, there is an unique attribute that deals with masks that players can collect. By wearing these masks, our protagonist will unlock new abilities or skills. Fortunately, we have nearly an hour of gameplay footage to see Project: The Perceiver in action online. The developer gameplay showcases mostly combat and a few areas of the in-game world you’ll explore. That said, we know that this game is slated to release as a cross-generation title for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

The more decisions you make, the more your kingdom will grow. But you’ll soon see what kind of ruler you’ll be in these dark times. So be careful.

Plenty of RPGs out there will give you “moral decisions” to make to advance the story or your character development. But inThe Thaumaturge, you will be getting this on a whole other level. The game makes some bold claims on how they’re using its isometric story-driven RPG to change how players view things, and they might just pull it off.
You’ll travel through a 19th-century Warsaw and attempt to ward off the supernatural entities that are invading your family home. But along the way, you’ll have to make decisions drastically affecting what happens to you later. So choose wisely!

The game from Capcom brings back much of the original team to ensure that the game is what fans want it to be, and then some.
You’ll once again be an “Arisen” and venture forth across a fantasy-style land in search of glory, power, freedom, or whatever else you desire. You’ll get to customize your character from top to bottom and then choose how they would interact with everything around them.
Plus, they can bring Pawns into their party to further bolster their power and influence! What will your quest look like?
#2 Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II

The long-awaited DLC to one of the greatest games of the past several years, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, is here to test you like never before. Make no mistake, you will die once again in this DLC expansion; it is inevitable.
The good news is that it won’t just be for some lame reason. You’ll be taken to a whole new part of the world and have access to new skills, classes, and abilities while you go and fight a whole new swath of bosses. You’ll die in trying to take them down, but every death is a learning experience!
