Restaurante de fusión
a portal to a funky, retro diner paradise. an open kitchen with a grill fit for a fire-breathing dragon, classic tube TVs playing who-knows-what, and comfy booths perfect for people-watching. Add in stellar cocktails and a menu that'll blow your mind (tuna watermelon, anyone?), and you've got a recipe for a night you won't forget.Don't even get me started on Jade, our server extraordinaire – her recommendations were spot on, from the crazy-good fried egg starter to the cheesecake that ended the night on a high note. This place is a must-try – just be prepared to have your mind (and taste buds) delightfully warped!

Los precios definitivamente son un poco elevados, pero creo que vale la pena intentarlo.(Original)A beautifully decorated restaurant, which obviously had a lot of thought out into the fit out. As you walk in, it gives the vibes of an old school nightclub, with the neon lights etc. however, as you descend to the actual restaurant area, there is a sort of open kitchen plan with dining areas dispersed around. The walls were well thought out, but honestly it didn’t give me a very Asian feel. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and definitely seemed to know what they were doing (even though it was the first week of opening- this review is a bit delayed). The food was interesting. I really enjoyed the bread and the fried eggs, and I would recommend them if you were coming here. The mix of tastes and textures was quite good. The eggplant was also decently good but a bit salty. I think the star of the night was probably the beef shin noodles - although the portion wasn’t huge, the noodle was like one very wide and very long noodle, cooked just right. The beef was also very tasty and it was a good combination all up.In terms of desserts 🍨, we got the Milo cake and the classic raspberry cheesecake. I liked the layers of the milo cake and the different textures in it, but it was pretty strong on the Milo/choc flavour, so be aware. The raspberry cheesecake was nice but a bit too sweet for me.Overall, a decent restaurant. The service and atmosphere is definitely a plus. The food is so-so. I definitely would say that you can get better / more authentic Asian food elsewhere, but it does alright. The prices definitely are a bit at a premium but I guess it’s worth a try.

No me apresuraría a regresar, pero no me importaría volver.(Original)Super lovely fit out and vibes. Very packed for a mid-week night. So make sure to book!Started off with the kit kat matcha cocktail and the snap crackle pop. I preferred the matcha one and loved how it came in a soy sauce bottle so cute! The snap crackle pop wasn’t bad but had a bit of a strong alcohol aftertaste. The tuna and watermelon combo was refreshing and the olive oil was okay with it but not the best. The beef tartare has the horseradish in it, which I didn’t really find paired well together but still really good meat and texture. This is a more personal preference so if you like horseradish/wasabi taste I’d recommend. The pork spring rolls were nice and packed, the way the pork was prepared made it similar to duck in my opinion! The bread was really nice and soft on the inside while being crispy on the outside, I enjoyed it mixed with the fried eggs and tofu.I liked the fried eggs and tofu, something simple but done well! The chilli scallop pasta was nice, it had a nice slight kick of chilli. The soft serve was a good way to end the dish. Nice and thick and didn’t melt too quickly. There was also a little salt on it too which added a nice balance.I also got the PY tea, which was refreshing and not too strong. The other drink rikuros gimlet wasn’t that great in my opinion.Overall as it was just myself and another person we opted for getting some of the smaller dishes rather than one of the larger seafood or meat plates, so maybe something to try another time if I come back! I wouldn’t be rushing back but wouldn’t mind coming again.

SíPruébalo, puede que te guste más o menos.(Original)Part of the Merivale family, good luck is located in the heart of the town, upon entering the restaurant we greeted immediately, we were a pax of ten people, celebrating someone’s birthday. The only option was to get the set menu which is an Australian thing, when your party is eight or more people apparently you don’t get to choose from the menu, you allowed the set menu only.I was waiting for a coke for at least twenty five minutes (everyone else in our table had their drinks already, cocktails included) we had to tell the waitress 3-4 times. For a Friday night the food came out quite fast, which is quite impressive considering the space of the restaurant and how busy it was.The bread and the pasta were quite tasty, I wish I could say the same for the spring rolls. The highlight of the night was the bombe Alaska and the soft serve. Will I go again? YesDid we had a good time? YesWas the food the best? NoIs there space for improvement? YesGive it a try, you might like it more or maybe less.

Las costillas de cordero también estaban bastante sabrosas, sin embargo quizás hubieran sido espectaculares si estuvieran más tiernas.(Original)Pretty cool addition to the Merivale empire - the whole precinct is the driving force behind bringing Sydney’s nightlife back from the dead. The decor was so cool and clearly inspired by the old school suburban Chinese restaurants. Vibes were awesome and very trendy, the food was solid however at times was on the more salty side, loved how they tried some new concepts including the noodle dishes which is probably best described as pasta with an Asian twist. The lamb ribs were also quite flavourful, however perhaps would had been spectacular if it was more tender.

I just discovered the most epic spot - This retro-glam eatery is a love letter to the iconic '70s dining scenes of New York, Tokyo, and Hong Kong! The menu leans heavily on seafood with standout dishes like grilled prawns, scallop sashimi, and pippies and don't even get me started on the desserts, the milk and chocolate soft serve with caramel, omg yum!!We shared the oysters, scallop sashimi, pippis, fire-roasted fish collar, grilled prawns, and those heavenly desserts including the black sesame peanut flan & soft serve. And to top it off, we sipped on a Tingly Paloma🍸- Codigo rosa, strangelove holy grapefruit, fingerline, tigly chilli salt and a Tea-Fashioned Jasmine, pineapple and tonka- pure bliss!Love asian fusion flavours!Good Luck Restaurant Lounge

Unfortunately, the service has a lot to improve. Service is quite slow, over 20 min to get your table ready upon arrival, and also long wait to bring out menus for the table. Atmosphere was very stylish like most Merivale venues.

Interesting food especially the fried egg which is a very niche cuisine in China. Great service and atmosphere, would definitely visit again and try other dishes. Keep up the good work!

Loved the ambience and decor so much. Really big venue and heaps of big tables for larger groups. Heard many mixed reviews but can vouch that I had a good time!Ordered the following dishes (this would be order of favs too)1. Scallop chilli noodles - really good flavours, good textures2. Bbq pork rib - loved the sauce and pork was cooked well3. Potato tofu chilli - such a good combination and potato was crispy4. Bread - loved the texture and seasoning, expensive ($10) for a small piece5. Ginger scallion sesame noodles - good flavours but got sick of it after a few bites6. Beef tartare - lacked flavour and meat was not tenderThe only let down dish was probably the beef tartare, the beef was too chewy and the flavours didn’t have the depth needed. Everything else was good. I would come back to try the other menu items.

Dinned here on a Saturday night. We ate the spring rolls, bread, burrata, scallop pasta, lamb ribs and milo for dessert. The pork spring rolls were outstanding. The five spice dipping sauce was very tasty. The springrolls were that good I didn't even need the sauce. The burrata presentation bloody horrible. The cabbage was just placed over the top of the cheese. But the smoked cabbage was perfect and unique. The scallop pasta serving was very generous. The pasta was cooked eldante. My wife loved it but all I could taste was chilli. It is an Asian fusion menu but I felt it didn't hit home well with pasta. I won't be ordering that again. The lamb ribs were my favourite dish. Soft, smokey and sticky. Stunning. The smoked method is a must. The milo had so many layers. Very sofisticated. Who would of thought milo could be sofisticated.Over all the atmosphere was bougie and a must visit. Tbh my expectations weren't that high however Merivale hit this out of the park.

P.D. The entire vibe of this place is just cool - it's got that Merivale golden touch. The furniture, the fitout, the whole thing feels a bit magic. I really loved the service here and the cocktail list is funky. We ordered very well and I adored every last mouthful of food. The pork spring rolls are an absolute game changer for the spring roll department. I also highly recommend the corn salad as a sneaky little unexpected side dish. For mains we got the sesame pasta which is yum and vegetarian. The tuna and watermelon crudo is also fire. All the food came out at once which was a bit overwhelming, but maybe we forgot to ask to stagger it. LOVE THIS PLACE. P.S if you want to blow your mind with dessert, get the musk cheesecake sundae. I'm not a big dessert girl, but this was wild.

This place is being advertised as the “Tokyo Inspired Tottis”I’ve heard mixed reviews, but I absolutely loved it and couldn’t fault a thing! I can completely appreciate the 70s Asian restaurant vibe fit out, the staff were incredibly attentive and friendly and the flavours of the food was surprising and a complete delight, I honestly can’t wait to go back!I had;- Bread- Raw kingfish, ginger, shiso- Fried eggs, whipped tofu and crisp chilli- Smoked pork spring rolls- Ginger shallot and sesame linguine- Five spice beef shin, belt noodle, peanuts- Milk and chocolate soft serve with caramelA few things to note -- the “bread” is a complete star dish on its own, kind of a foccacia like texture but an onion flavour on top- The egg & tofu dish was NOT my choice, but holy moly the flavours in that thing eaten on top of the bread blew my mind- Spring rolls were completely amazing, a pulled pork inside- The noodz are a MUST! My faves, so so so much flavour10/10 experience for me, highly recommend!Follow @foodenthusiast.sydney on Instagram for more reviews

We had a family of six. It was hard to get a reservation, so I was happy to be able to make one.The interior of the shop was cute and very elaborate♡The music seemed to have been carefully selected as well♪(Maybe it's chosen by AI🤣)The restaurant is quite noisy and a little loud, so I don't think it's the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely, romantic dinner. Some of the dishes used unusual ingredients. The pork chops were very filling and the sauce was delicious.Milk and chocolate soft serve with caramel Was amazing!!I think this is a place that clearly divides people into those who like it and those who dislike it.I would like to come back with friends who like this kind of atmosphere and foods ⭐︎

Starters were good but the main was a total fail. The noodle dish that came was full of salt and had to be returned and we got given the same dish but this time ..guess what... they did not add salt!! ummm..its not hard to season...if that not taught in cooking class..then...The lamb dish was not marinated enough and tasted balnd...Dessert was ok...nothing to rave about. Our host was coned to a drink that costed $88 per glass. Its not ethical at all to do so without quoting price. This was a real shock.Would recommend this at all.

$200 got us 3 small dishes including lamb & fish and spring rolls, 2 glasses of Prosecco, a glass of wine & a cocktail. Decor was amazing and bathrooms were a delightful stylish affair. We were in a rush so the friendly helpful staff brought out the food quickly. Well done Merivale, Justin and Bettina!

En general, una visita decepcionante.(Original)I recently visited Good Luck Restaurant Lounge and while the atmosphere and service were exceptional, especially for a busy Friday night at 7:30pm, the experience ended there. The food was below average and didn’t meet the high standards I’ve come to expect from other Merivale venues. Additionally, some of the descriptions of the live tank sauces felt borderline racist (Red, White, and Green Sauce? Surely have the decency to explain what they are? Are you implying Asian flavours as so simple they are colours?! ). Overall, a disappointing visit.
